Ben Howard performing The Wolves in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
Little Talks, Of Monsters and Men
I really love this song and was delighted to discover its wonderfully wild music video.
Youth by Daughter
And if you’re still bleeding, you’re the lucky ones.
Cause most of our feelings, they are dead and they are gone.
We’re setting fire to our insides for fun.
Collecting pictures from the flood that wrecked our home,
It was a flood that wrecked this…
Somebody That I Used to Know — Gotye ft. Kimbra
I love that this song is getting major radio play right now. Gotye is wonderful from head-to-toe. I’ve been really digging Making Mirrors lately, especially Bronte and Eyes Wide Open.
SIMPLE SONG, The Shins
Why can’t all music videos be this excellent? There’s better storytelling in this sub-5 minute video than I’ve seen in many full length films.
I wish I was cool enough to do things like this in my lab.
So great. The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” recreated with sounds from a working science lab. Hear more music made with unusual objects. (HT)
Rivers and Roads by The Head and the Heart
I’ve been listening to this entire record densely for the past few months or so and this performance is just beautiful. The idea that they can stroll into a tunnel and make sounds like this so naturally blows my mind. To put it simply: “if you don’t know what to make of this then we will not relate.”
I can’t stop giggling. And re-watching.
Calling themselves Bon Joviver, the guys from Miracles of Modern Science give Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name” a good Bon Iver-esque sendup.
If you know anyone who loves Bon Iver, this is a great way to suddenly miss them a whole bunch.
